Fuel is a liquid which can be burned by [Combustion Engine]s to produce energy. At 60 RF/t, it is the most effective
fuel source, but also produces considerably more heat than Oil. It may be obtained by converting [1000mB Oil] in a
[Refinery]. This process is so energy efficient that you can start an engine with a single bucket of oil and it will
continuously general more fuel than is needed to sustain the conversion of the remaining fuel.

Oil is a naturally-occuring liquid added by BuildCraft. While it can be burned in a [Combustion Engine] to produce
30RF/t, it is much more adventageous to convert it to [1000mB Fuel] using a [Refinery] as fuel both produces more power
per tick and burns longer.
While not particularly common, Oil can be found in large spouts in ocean, desert, and swamp biomes. The spouts come in
different sizes, with the larger above-ground portion indicating larger oil deposits below ground. Each spout can
produce hundreds or even thousands of buckets of oil. The best way to remove oil is to use a [Pump] to extract it, and convert it directly into fuel.

The Assembly Table is used to make various chipsets, gates, wires, and other electronic parts. Right-clicking opens the
interface:
| |
|:------------:|
| |
You can place the input items on the left, and the available output items appear on the right. All assembly table
recipes are shapeless, and there may even be extra input items present.
Output items are chosen by clicking one or more items on the right. If powered, the assembly table will immediately
begin creating the selected item. The item currently being created will be selected in bright red while the future items
to be created will be selected in dark red.
As the assembly table works, the power meter in the center will gradually fill up. Once it reaches the top, the item is
finished and will pop off the assembly table. If there's an inventory or pipe nearby, the finished item will be placed
into it; otherwise, the item will fly off into the room.

# Providing Power
Powering an assembly table requires the use of one or more lasers placed anywhere within a few blocks. These must be
connected (via kinesis pipes) to some source of power. A single assembly table can receive as much power as you can give
it, so the more lasers you have within range, the faster it will work. Here's an example of a simple
setup:
| |
|:----------------:|
| |
| *[see the crafting plan](/craft/redstone_torch:assembly_table:combustion_engine:emerald_kinesis_pipe:4.golden_kinesis_pipe:3.laser)* |
1. a combustion Engine filled with fuel produces power (60 RF/t) when activated by a redstone torch
2. an emerald kinesis pipe draws power out of the engine and transmits it along some gold kinesis pipes
3. a set of three lasers each transmit 20 RF/t
4. assembly table which uses the 60 RF/t to build its current assignment

# Similar Machines
There are a number of other machines which also require laser power, so it is wise to set up your lasers so that they
can reach all of them. If multiple machines each have a job ready to work, the lasers will split their time (and
thus the output power) between each of them.

The Auto Workbench is very similar to a regular Crafting Table with several important improvements which make it ideal
for automated workflows.
Start by opening the interface and laying out input items just like with a regular crafting table.
| |
|:------------:|
| |
At this point, you'll notice that it does *not* actually craft anything, but it does show you want item *would* be
crafted. Now, add enough ingredients to complete the recipe three times. Once you do, the workbench will automatically
start works and drop the output item in the far-right inventory slot. If you pick up that item, it will automatically
start working on the next one.
To see the full potential of the Auto Workbench, you must use transport pipes to transfer input items into the
workbench. These will be divided evenly between all the appropriate places in the crafting grid, and once enough items
have arrived, the next item will be produced. If these items are piped out, production will be completely automated.
For example, here's a setup which converts sticks into wood gears:
| |
|:----------------:|
| |
| *[see the crafting plan](/craft/2.chest:auto_workbench:2.basic_gate_autarchic_pulsar:2.wooden_transport_pipe)* |
1. a chest full of sticks
2. a Basic Gate (Autarchic Pulsar) on a Wooden Pipe which extracts the items
3. an Auto Workbench configured to produce gears (as seen above)
4. a second pipe and gate which extracts items from the Auto Workbench
